Caro in the Community 




Caroline is an active part of the Paraplanning and Financial Planning Community and was a Member Director of the Personal Finance Society Board of Directors from September 2018 until January 2023. 



In September 2020, Caroline was the first paraplanner to be appointed Vice President of the Personal Finance Society, and was thrilled to become the first Paraplanner to be elected as President in September 2022.


She was appointed to represent the Society's paraplanner members and help the Personal Finance Society with its

commitment to improve client and consumer outcomes by supporting, developing and growing the financial planning and paraplanning professions. 



Caroline was awarded Professional Paraplanning Magazine's Personality of the Year Award 2020 for her work with the Personal Finance Society and Paraplanners Assembly (formerly the Powwow).





Caroline also helps support and develop others in financial planning and paraplanning. She volunteers and is involved with a range of groups and initiatives.


She is a Mentor through the PFS Connect Platform and has helped many people at various stages of their career in both financial planning and paraplanning, to develop and grow and move ahead in their professional journey.




Caroline was on the Personal Finance Society Paraplanner Practitioner Panel from when it began in March 2015, and was Chair from 2018 until January 2023. 


The panel helps the Personal Finance Society support their paraplanner members through development events and initiatives, and to bring more recognition to the importance of the paraplanning profession. 



An example of this is the 'Getting you started in Paraplanning' booklet which Caroline was fundamental in producing. 





As part of her role on the Panel and the Board, she has helped organise, participated in and chaired PFS Purely Paraplanner Roadshows all over the country...



Caroline has been a regular speaker at the Roadshows; she has both chaired and participated in Panel discussions.

In addition to the Roadshows, Caroline even opened the Personal Finance Society Festival of Financial Planning in 2022! 










Caroline has also been involved with the Paraplanners Assembly (previously the Powwow) since this began in 2013. 










The Paraplanner Assembly is an organisation created and run by and for paraplanners, offering events, webinars, and an online forum to support and help paraplanners develop and grow in their careers. 









Caroline has helped organise regional mini Assemblies and hosted the 2017 and 2018 National Paraplanner Assemblies in Northampton. 






Caroline has also been a judge in a number of financial planning awards. In 2019 she was a judge in the Personal Finance Society Media Awards and has been a judge in the Professional Paraplanner magazine Awards since 2019.
